A thrilling adventure tour through Switzerland, captured in snapshots: ST showed the beauty and diversity of Switzerland as a travel destination through the lens of four content creators from all across the world as part of an entertaining  YouTube series.

Social media is subject to constant change, both in terms of the relevance of the content and the platforms themselves. As part of a new approach to engagement on YouTube, Switzerland Tourism (ST) therefore launched “The Perfect Shot” in 2023. A thrilling adventure tour through Switzerland, captured in snapshots: ST showed the beauty and diversity of Switzerland as a travel destination through the lens of four content creators from all across the world. In the entertaining YouTube series “The Perfect Shot”, the local nature made for an entirely unique backdrop. The result is photos that stand out – the perfect shot!

In September 2023, four different content creators showed Switzerland from their own perspective through authentic storytelling without excessive production, but with plenty of humour in dealing with clichés. Together with Siddhartha Joshi from India, Sean Dalton from the USA, James Popsys from the United Kingdom and Lizzie Peirce from Canada, the YouTube community discovered Switzerland’s well-known and lesser-known tourist destinations online. As part of four challenges, the content creators were sent to the four corners of Switzerland with photo assignments, from which Sean Dalton emerged as the overall winner. His photo was ultimately shown at the legendary Times Square in New York City in early January 2024.

The success of this series proves the new social media format right: never before have so many people watched 50 minutes of content about Switzerland as a travel destination and its nature – the first episode alone had 800,000 views.
