Switzerland Tourism has created a new and free B2B platform: MySwitzerland Pro gives Swiss providers digital access to the global travel industry. Thanks to the marketplace, tour operators from abroad can connect easily and conveniently with tourism service providers from Switzerland.

The Switzerland Travel Mart 2023 (STM) in Geneva was once again a success: 413 tour operators, 360 tourism service providers and more than 9,600 face-to-face sales meetings speak for themselves. Switzerland’s most important incoming travel trade fair is the perfect setting for personal dialogue between tourism professionals.

To ensure that this exchange continues after the end of STM, Switzerland Tourism (ST) has created a new and free B2B platform at “MySwitzerland Pro” : This gives Swiss providers digital access to the global travel industry. Thanks to the marketplace, tour operators from abroad can conveniently and easily connect with tourism service providers from Switzerland or intensify their initial contact digitally after visiting STM.

The web-based business-to-business platform has got off to a successful start and has exceeded expectations. ST expected around 500 buyers and 525 Swiss suppliers to register by the end of 2023. Registrations numbered 646 and 694, respectively.

Markets reacted positively

The digital continuation of STM has a whole range of advantages: MySwitzerland Pro can be used around the clock, 365 days a year. Together with its 23 market representatives, ST organised numerous B2B events around the world at which Swiss suppliers and international buyers were able to establish business relationships. The launch of the MySwitzerland Pro online platform has now made matchmaking between tour operators and service providers and the continuation of business relationships much easier.

MySwitzerland Pro has also been well received in the markets: “Many of our trade partners in the Benelux market value MySwitzerland Pro and use it regularly. ST offers a unique service and we stand out from our competitors,” says Janine Nijlant, Key Account Manager ST for the Benelux market.

Digital transformation as an opportunity

The development of MySwitzerland Pro is part of ST’s strategy, in which digitalisation is used as an integral part of the overall organisation. ST is also convinced that the extended digital transformation offers great added value far beyond traditional tourism marketing.
