For the redevelopment of the website, ST won the prestigious World Travel Award.  This is the second time ST has won this award award, the first being in 2012.

Germany: ITB-Award , Tourism Organisation of the Year

Over 200 German-speaking journalists selected ST as Tourism Organisation of the Year at ITB 2019 in Berlin. ST impressed the judges in the categories “Geographical Knowledge”, “Reliability in Answering Queries” and “Organisation and Creativity”.

Germany: German Brand Award , digital autumn campaign "Awaken your senses"

The German Brand Award is the most widely recognised marketing award in the German-speaking world. In June 2019, ST won the German Brand Award for the excellence of its digital campaign “Awaken your senses” launched in 2018.

Russia: Business Travel Awards , Category "Best national tourist board in MICE promotion"

The Business Travel Awards honour the performance of businesses in the MICE sector. An independent jury, consisting of experienced travel buyers, named ST in Russia the best national tourism organisation for MICE promotion.

Russia: National Geographic Traveller Awards , Category "Best Ski Destination"

450,000 readers of the Russian National Geographic Traveller voted Switzerland the best ski destination in 2019 for the second year running.

North America: The Telly Awards , TV Production “Real Rail Adventures: Swiss Winter Magic”

The Telly Awards annually showcase the best work created within television and across video, for all screens. Receiving over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents, Telly Award winners represent work from some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies and publishers from around the world.

North America: Virtuoso Award , Category "Tourism Board of the Year"

Virtuoso is a network of over 1,000 luxury travel agencies with over 20,000 agents worldwide, with a primary focus on North and South America.
ST won against 50 competitors in the “Best Tourism Board” category, taking the award for the fourth time.

North America Ovation DMC wOwAward , "Leading destination partner"

Destination management company Ovation Global has been advising customers worldwide for more than 25 years. With the “wOwaward” they show their recognition to their top customers, partners and destinations The Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau won the award for Leading Destination Partner.

North America W3 Awards , Category "General Website" und "Website Features – Visual Appeal" for the campaign "Find your WOW in Switzerland"

Each year, the W3 Awards are presented for outstanding online presence. This year, ST won two awards for its “Find your WOW in Switzerland” campaign: one in the “General Website” category and one in the “Website Features – Visual Appeal” category.

Japan: HighNetWorth Magazin , “HighNetWorth Destination of the year 2018”

In 2019, ST received the award as best luxury destination for Japanese visitors. The award was handed out by HighNetWorth Magazine, a well-known medium in Japan that addresses Japanese HNWI (high-net-worth individuals).

China: National Tourism Fashion Awards , Categories "Travel Destination" and "Winter Travel Destination"

The Chinese travel magazine “National Tourism” named the “Top 10 Most Popular Travel Destinations”. ST won in the “Travel Destination” and “Winter Travel Destination” categories.

In an online poll, the readers of the Chinese edition of  the magazine Travel + Leisure named Switzerland as their favourite destination for 2019.

China: Global Times , Categories “Best Technology and Scientific Travel Itinerary” for the E-GToS and and “Most Welcoming Family Destination”

In 2019, the Chinese newspaper Global Times presented ST with an award in the “Best Technology and Scientific Travel Itinerary 2018” category for the E-Grand Tour of Switzerland and, equally gratifying: an award as “Most Welcoming Family Destination”.

ST was hailed as “Best Outdoor Sports Destination” by the Chinese travel magazine WiTrip.

China: MICE China media portal , “Best Marketing Destination 2019”

MICE China is one of the most influential media portals for the meetings and incentive sector. On the occasion of the Forum & Awards Ceremony organised by MICE China, the Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau received an award for best marketing destination.

Tongcheng Travel is one of the three most important online travel agencies (OTAs) in China. At the organisation’s partner conference in Suzhou, ST was named “Best Travel Destination Partner 2019”.

In 2019, ST received an award as the best “Nature & Outdoor Destination” from the Chinese travel magazine Voyage.

Pinchain is a vertical media portal in the Chinese tourism industry that focuses on the end-to-end service chain in tourism. ST received the “Best Ski Destination 2019” award from Pinchain.

The popularity of Switzerland as a meetings and incentive destination is growing, The China Meetings Industry Convention (CMIC) presented ST with the “Most Competitive Overseas MICE Destination” award for 2019.



India: AsiaSpa magazine , Category “Best Wellness Destination global”

The readers of India’s top wellness/lifestyle magazine AsiaSpa named Switzerland the best wellness destination worldwide. AsiaSpa has recognised excellence among wellness providers since 2005.

ST received one award from each of the two most prestigious travel magazines: Readers of Travel + Leisure magazine named Switzerland the best country to visit, while Condé Nast Traveller readers chose Switzerland as their favourite country.
