Global: YouTube Leaderboard 2022 – Cannes Edition

With its second short film “No one upstages the Grand Tour of Switzerland”, this time starring Oscar winner Anne Hathaway alongside Roger Federer, in 2022 ST once again made it onto the list of the most popular promotional videos on YouTube. This time, even reaching second place.

The list is determined by an algorithm that factors in watch time, organic views and audience retention.

Global: Epica Awards 2022, , “Transport and Tourism” category

For the second year in a row, ST won an Epica Award in 2022 for the “Transport and Tourism” category. After winning Bronze in 2021, it now has a Silver award for the short film “No one upstages the Grand Tour of Switzerland”. Once again, Switzerland ambassador Roger Federer plays a part here. Oscar winner Anne Hathaway co-stars.

The Epica Award is the only creative award given by the press. The jury is made up of more than 200 editors-in-chief and media professionals from a wide range of fields from over 60 countries.

Global: Adventure in Motion, , “Adventure needs women” category

ST won an “Adventure in Motion” award with the 100% Women initiative and the world record set in 2022 for the longest women’s rope team in the world in the “Adventure needs women” category.

The award is presented by the Adventure Travel Trade Association, the largest global network of adventure travel guides, and by Adventure.Travel, the platform for information on adventure travel with a focus on sustainability.

Global: Vimeo’s Best of the Year Award, , “Best Branded Video” category

ST won a Best of the Year Award from the video platform Vimeo with the video “Even if it Takes a While” for the campaign “My Swisstainable Journey”, in the category “Best Branded Video”.

The Vimeo community creates millions of videos each year. From these, hundreds of “Staff Picks” are selected by the Vimeo curators, of which a few, in turn, are recognised as the best of the year.

Europe: : ADC*E Awards 2022, , “Film & Audio – Online Videos” category

The ADC*E Award (Art Directors Club Europe) is the most important creative award in the European advertising industry. The jury consists of 54 members from 20 European countries. It honours the best creative work across Europe. In 2022, the short film “No Drama” with Roger Federer and Robert De Niro won Gold in the category “Film & Audio – Online Videos”.

Switzerland: Effie Awards Switzerland, , “Highlight” and “Influencer Marketing” categories

ST won two Effie Awards: Gold for the short film “No Drama” in the “Highlight” category, and Bronze for the Roger Federer campaign in the “Influencer Marketing” category.

The Effie Awards recognise marketing effectiveness worldwide and are an international benchmark for successful marketing. The Effie is currently awarded in 57 countries and regions worldwide on the basis of comparable criteria. In Switzerland, the award ceremony is organised by LEADING SWISS AGENCIES.

Switzerland: Best of Swiss Web Awards, , “Performance Campaigns” category

The ST campaign “My Swiss Bench Challenge” won Bronze in the “Performance Campaigns” category at the Best of Swiss Web Awards 2022. For the campaign, users were able to vote on which market would get a bench on the Jungfraujoch. Germany won. Roger Federer himself called for people to cast their votes.

The “Best of Swiss Web Awards” are the Oscars for the Swiss web sector.

Switzerland: ADC Switzerland, , “Film” category

ADC Switzerland, the Swiss Art Directors Club Switzerland, awarded the ST short film “No Drama”, starring Roger Federer and Robert De Niro, Gold in the category “Film / Subcategory Online Films, Long Formats”. The award is considered the most important creative award in the Swiss advertising industry.

Switzerland: Milestone Award for the most innovative projects

From among the “10 most effective milestones of the past 21 years”, the jury at the Niesen Summit highlighted four projects that have success factors that were critical to success in the past and that will continue to play an important role in the future. The Grand Tour of Switzerland is one such project. The Milestone was awarded for the last time in 2022 and was considered the most prestigious tourism award in Switzerland.

Switzerland: Best of Swiss Apps, , including the “Campaigns” category

ST won four “Best of Swiss Apps” awards with the Grand Tour of Switzerland app: one Gold and one Silver each, in the “Campaigns” and “Design” category, respectively, and one Bronze each in the “UX and Usability” and “User Engagement” categories. ST also achieved second place in the Master of Swiss Apps 2022. 

Best of Swiss Apps is an initiative of Netzmedien AG, the publisher of the ICT trade magazine Netzwoche.

Germany: Tourism PR and Media Award, , Tourism Board of the Year

For the third year in a row, ST won the Tourism PR and Media Award as the 2022 Tourism Board of the Year, ahead of DMOS Atout France and the Austrian National Tourist Office. More than 200 German-speaking media professionals cast their votes as part of the poll. The award was once again presented online as a result of the pandemic. France: Trophées Content’Innovations, , “Meilleure Campagne digitale” category

In May 2022, as part of the “All for Content” fair, ST won a “Trophées Content’Innovations” award in the category “Meilleure Campagne digitale” (best digital campaign), which was realised together with destination partner Fribourg Region and media partner GEO.

The award honours the most innovative projects in the areas of Media Brand Content and Content Factory. “All for Content” is the only exhibition fair in France dedicated to technical, intellectual and strategic solutions for branded content.

North America: 2022 Gold and Bronze Telly Awards with “Adventure Cities”, , “Travel/Tourism” category

The show “Adventure Cities” is all about urban outdoor adventures. The Geneva episode won Gold, and the Zurich episode Bronze, at the 2022 Telly Awards. ST supported the filming. The episodes were seen in more than 130 million US households through the Discovery Channel and the sports channel Outside TV.

The Telly Awards showcase the best work created in the areas of television and video for all screens each year.

North America: The 2022 Telly Awards, , “Travel/Tourism” category

The May 2022 travel documentary “Real Road Adventures” won one Telly Award in each of the categories “Videography/Cinematography” (Silver), “Use of Music” (Bronze), “Travel/Tourism” (Bronze) and “Sustainability” (Bronze). The regions or destinations of Zurich, Liechtenstein, the Lucerne-Lake Lucerne Region, the Lake Geneva Region, the Jungfrau Region, Interlaken, Zermatt and the Schilthorn served as the filming locations for the six episodes.

North America: M&I, , “Leading Sales Professional” category

M&I organises global networking events and has been active in the MICE industry for over 15 years. At the three-day M&I Americas in Punta Cana, Caroline Pidroni, SCIB Head of Meetings and Incentives North America, received the “Leading Sales Professional Award”. Pidroni received the most votes out of all 41 contenders for the quality of her sales pitch. Participants cast their votes via an app.

UK: 2022 M&IT Awards, , Gold in the “Best Overseas Convention Bureau” category

The Switzerland Convention and Incentive Bureau (SCIB) for the UK and Ireland, which comes under the ST umbrella, wins Gold at the M&IT Awards (Meetings & Incentive Travel Award), in the “Best Overseas Convention Bureau” category. M&IT is the leading brand in the events industry, publishes a digital and print magazine and hosts a series of networking events throughout the year.

China: National Tourism Fashion Awards, , “Top 10 Destination Live-streaming Innovative Case” and “Top 10 Persistent and Innovative Team” categories

The National Tourism Fashion Awards were again presented by the travel platform National Tourism at a ceremony in Beijing. ST won in the “Top 10 Destination Live-streaming Innovative Case” and “Top 10 Persistent and Innovative Team” categories. The National Tourism travel platform includes, among other things, the wide-reaching national tourism network

China: Travel Marketing Watch (TMW) Award, , “Outstanding Creative Campaign” category

Travel Marketing Watch (TMW), China’s first B2B digital media platform, has recognised the Roger Federer campaign launched by ST for the Grand Tour of Switzerland.

The TMW Awards highlight outstanding projects in the area of global travel marketing.

China: BangTrip Award 2022, , “Top Health Destination” category

WITRIP magazine is one of the biggest lifestyle magazines in China and presents the BangTrip Awards. Switzerland received an award in the category “Top Health Destination”, and the Jungfrau Region destination was recognised as a “Top Sustainable Destination”.

China: GO TRAVEL Award, , “Reader selection sustainable destination” category

 

GO TRAVEL is one of the leading lifestyle social media platforms based in Shanghai. ST received the GO TRAVEL Award in the category “Reader selection sustainable destination” in November 2022.

China: LuxuryTimes Award 2022, , category “The World’s Best Destination National Tourism Bureaus”

The ST branch office in Beijing accepted an award in the category “The World’s Best Destination National Tourism Bureaus”, presented by the magazine “LUXURYTIMES”. The magazine has a print run of 100,000 copies.

China: Trip.com, , “Best Potential International Destination” category

At the annual Macau Global Partner Summit, the Trip.com Group recognises partners in the industry and destinations for their collaboration with the Chinese travel service provider.

ST received an award for Switzerland as a destination in the category “Best Potential International Destination”. Trip.com is one of the leading global travel service providers.
