Switzerland: “Best of Swiss Web Awards” , category first “Master of Swiss Web”

The “Best of Swiss Web Awards” are the Oscars for the Swiss web sector.

For the first time, ST won the prestigious main “Master of Swiss Web” award in 2020 for the new content hub of MySwitzerland.com.

ST also won three Gold awards in the categories of “Creation”, “Technology” and “Usability”, two Silver awards in the categories of “Innovation” and “Marketing” as well as one Bronze award for “Public Value”.

ADC Awards

Switzerland: ADC Award , Gold for MySwitzerland.com in the “Digital” category

L’ADC Switzerland is the association for leading creatives in the Swiss communications industry. The shortlist for the ADC Award included 114 works in 17 categories. Ultimately, 31 Bronze, 15 Silver and 6 Gold Cubes were awarded. In the “Digital” category, Gold was presented to ST and the Hinderling Volkart agency for MySwitzerland.com.

Europe: Lovie Awards , category “Best Functional Website Design” and “Best Travel & Tourism Website”

The Lovie Awardsare the most prestigious and only pan-European award to recognise online excellence.

In 2020, MySwitzerland.com received Gold and Silver in the respective categories of “Best Functional Website Design” and “Best Travel & Tourism Website”. The winners were decided by user votes.

APG-SGA, Poster des Monats

Switzerland: APG/SGA , “Poster of the Month” for the «I need real watercolors.» poster

APG/SGA is a Swiss company offering communication solutions in the public space. Each month, APG/SGA selects a “Poster of the Month”. In October 2020, ST was voted into third place by the public for its “I need real watercolours” poster.

Switzerland: Edi.20 , Bronze for “SwissSwap” ad film.

Edi.is the official quality award for commissioned productions of advertising, industry and corporate films. The competition is held under the patronage of the Federal Department of Home Affairs and is carried out by SWISSFILM ASSOCIATION.

The Edi.20 jury awarded Bronze to the ST ad film “SwissSwap”, which was mainly shown in Germany.

Germany: «Touristik PR und Medien Awards» , “Tourist board of the year”

ST won the “Tourist board of the year 2020” award for the third consecutive time – beating Atout France and Ireland Information. Almost 200 journalists helped select the winner. The award was presented at the entirely virtual event ITB Berlin 2021. ST once again received the most points in the categories of “Area Knowledge”, “Answering Queries”, “Organisation” and “Creativity”.

Austria: T.A.I. Werbe Grand Prix 2020 , category “Overall Website”

The T.A.I. WERBE GRAND PRIX

was founded in 1980 by the trade magazine Tourist Austria International. By including the public in the voting, supplemented by a jury of experts, it is considered the world’s toughest and at the same time fairest competition for tourism advertising media. ST won the Kristall Award in the “Overall Website” category for MySwitzerland.com. The vote took place via websites, TV, radio spots and online marketing campaigns.

UK: The Group Travel Awards , category «Best International Destination for Groups»

The readership of the magazine “Group Leisure & Travel” crowned the holiday and travel destination Switzerland the “Best International Destination for Groups” in 2020. Switzerland was able to win out over competitors such as Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and Italy. This is the second time it has won in three years. The award was presented to the ST international office in London.

North America: Travel Weekly Magellan Awards , category «Destination Marketing – Campaign-Advertising/Marketing»

Travel trade magazine Travel Weekly presents the Magellan Awards each year. ST won Gold in the “Destination Marketing – Campaign Advertising/Marketing” category for “The Scenic Route” campaign.

The award is presented by a panel of top travel industry professionals.

India: magazine Travel + Leisure India , category «Best International Destination»

The readership of the magazine Travel + Leisure India selected the holiday and travel destination of Switzerland as the winner of the “Best International Destination” award in 2020.

China: B2B Media National Tourism (Guojialvye.com) , category “Best MICE Recommended Destination” and “Top 10 Most Popular Travel Destination”

ST employees in China were the proud recipients of two awards from travel trade media Guojialvye.com: for “Best MICE Recommended Destination” and “Top 10 Most Popular Travel Destination”.

Chine: China Exhibition Brand , category «Most Influential MICE Destination Award»

At the 20th China Exhibition Brand, ST China won the title of “Most Influential MICE Destination”. This honour was awarded by the CEIF (China Events Industry Fair) Committee in Shanghai on 6 November 2020.

Chine: Winter Sports Top Awards 2020 , category «Best Winter Sports Competition» und «Best Overseas Ski Resorts»

ST China was bestowed with ten “Winter Sports Top Awards” on behalf of Swiss destination partners. The winners included:

  • Lausanne 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games for “Best Winter Sports Competition”
  • Crans-Montana, Davos, Jungfrau Region, LAAX, Matterhorn Region, Schilthorn, Titlis, Villars – Lake Geneva Region, Engadin St. Moritz and Zermatt for “Best Overseas Ski Resorts”

China: 13e China Meetings Industry (CMIC) , category «Most Expected Overseas Destination»

From 3 to 4 December 2020, the 13th China Meetings Industry convention took place. ST received the award for “Most Expected Overseas Destination”.
