Switzerland Tourism ST developed the North American market in winter 2017/2018, for the first time with two separate segment campaigns. The snow sports enthusiast segment was taken care of by renowned specialist for action sport videos Warren Miller Entertainment, with whom ST has a long-term partnership. Every year, Warren Miller produces a winter sports film that is shown in the USA. This year’s film appeared in 200 cinemas in ten cities and presented Switzerland as a diverse skiing destination, generating two million views. Three million more contacts were generated via social media, competitions and newsletters.
For a second campaign geared specifically towards the needs of the snow lover segment, ST again worked with the “New York Times”. With an advertorial on Switzerland as a winter wonderland (English) including a wide range of offers for snow lovers, a newsletter and a dedicated landing page, ST generated a total of 30 million views.
